Harper's Bazaar Mexico November 2017 : Cindy Crawford by Simon Upton

Cindy's best cover since her Elle Canada. She looks great, although I prefer the first.

First cover looks great actually. Is she wearing the same dress Julia wore on UK Harper's?

I feel like we are seeing more of Cindy ever since Kaia started modelling. Interesting.....

Harper's Bazaar Mexico Digital Edition

I want to like it because it´s a SUPERMODEL and it´s Cindy but it falls SUPER flat for me! The styling is overshadowing her, she does not seem to know how to carry big clothes like Linda or Naomi. Cindy always was the most commercial of the big 6 anyways but at times she knew how to be a high fashion model and other times she was uber uber commercial. Here I like the first cover but the whole editorial brings nothing. It´s like she is trying to look edgy and she´s trying to use her high fashion muscle but either the photos were badly chosen (which can be the case) or she just does not know how to model clothes like these anymore.

What's up with the recent trend of booking a supermodel for a shoot and then using only 3-4 shots in the editorial...

I feel like we see this all the time - veteran supermodel, secondary overseas Harper's Bazaar or Vogue plus some uninspired shoot and styling. and lots of words like 'icon', 'legend' and 'supermodel!'.

Lol, indeed! This edition is obsesses with the supers. Christy, Amber, Cindy....At least with the others I get it because they maintain a steady stream of work. With Cindy I don't get it.

it is a mystery, Mexican magazines especially still love Cindy - we all remember the Marie Claire Mexico photoshopgate incident. Perhaps because Cindy had the standout global crossover appeal in the 80s/90s readers still have fond memories and want to check in with her?

That being said, HB Mexico always has kind of unexpected cover stars. We've seen cover stars as unconnected as Shakira, Lindsey Wixson, Olivia Palermo, Jessica Hart and Salma Hayek all in the past year!
