Wowww it feels like a decade since we have last seen her on the cover, haven´t we? I was like ``Geez I want to see how she looks like now after so so many years´´. Where has she been? She is still modeling? She looks good here. She hasn´t changed and still looks great and modelesque.

Chanel was absolutely one of the best models of her generation. Posing skills were on point and hands down one of the best walkers whenever she was on the runway. It seems that increased competition from other models of color (since the industry was still very much had the "there can only be one" stupid mentality) and a lack of momentum getting campaigns caused her to go down a more commercial route (VS/SI). Even with that focus, Anna Wintour has always been a supporter and we've seen her pop up in Vogue every now and then. But Chanel hasn't really done much modeling lately which is a true shame because she still has the skills and her body is on point. This cover proves that, absolute slam dunk and the prince inspiration is incredible!

This might be bad, tacky and all... But in a way I'm attracted to it! It's just FRESH in its tackiness and fierceness.

I love the shot. Chanel is truly stunning and she should be bigger in the modeling world. She started so strong and then just kinda fell off.

Chanel, Sessile Lopez and Arlenis Sosa should be as big as Jourdan Dunn. Because they're all extremely stunning.

Oh...so it's a tribute to Prince? The hair makes sense now. Great to see her, especially looking facially strong like this on a cover again, even if it's for a rather esoteric edition of a not-so-great mag in the first place.

I wish this were for a bigger edition, because Chanel is killing it! She looks absolutely spectacular here. Serving such great face and the post is on point too! I hadn't realized how much I missed her until seeing this shot. Somebody BOOK THIS WOMAN.

The only magazine to do a Prince tribute so far? Nothing from Alt or the indies? I thought she was so mad about the 80's? The top 4 should hang their heads in shame.
I'm not particularly mad about the shot, but kudos to them for doing it right! Casting a black girl for this. I appreciate it even more because it's such a conceptualised and progressive idea to push in today's print arena. I always get the feeling that the top tier titles groan when they have to give the cover to a person of colour. Serbia, with zero obligation to toe the diversity line, did it with such effortless bravado! Take note Alt, Shulman, Arp, Baron, etc etc.

I wish the tribute went a bit deeper than Purple Rain, like damn he had so many looks. Hell, go all in and even reference Vanity 6, etc.
