Madame Figaro September 24, 2010 : Heidi Mount by Karl Lagerfeld

KARL’S LATEST ISSUE: Madame Figaro has called on Karl Lagerfeld to guest-edit its upcoming issue, due out today, just ahead of fashion week here. Channeling Hollywood’s film noir period, Lagerfeld tapped model Heidi Mount as the femme fatale of the 12-page photo shoot entitled “Carte Blanche Pour Série Noire” lensed by the designer.

Lagerfeld also shot a fictional photographic essay starring the darlings of Parisian nightlife, including André Saraiva, Mademoiselle Agnès, Elisa Sednaoui and Olivier Zahm with an accompanying text by the designer and French author Frédéric Beigbeder.

The weekly magazine also features an article and portrait of Colette Rousseaux (founder of the eponymous Parisian boutique) and her daughter Sarah Lerfel, a Q&A between Lagerfeld and Ingrid Sischy and even a Lagerfeld cutout doll. Previously, Madame Figaro tapped Carla Bruni-Sarkozy to guest-edit an issue in March.
