So, I'm looking to bulk up my wardrobe for the summer. Ages ago, I tried on a few Helmut Lang pants at a retail store, and I loved them, though the insane price tag scared me away ($400+ IIRC) and I can't remember the size (D'OH!). All around on various e-tailer sites, I see HL pants in both 48 (apparently 32") and 46 (apparently 30") and for a pretty reasonable dollar.

Now, I've slimmed down and gotten into shape, I'm a 31 in the classic cut jeans (they fit snugly, but I can easily touch my toes ) If the overall cut of the pants are similar to the jeans (same hem width and overall silhouette) which size would I want to pick, as I appear to float between the sizes? I'm hoping for first-hand experience from someone owning both HL jeans and pants, but any advice/insights are welcome.

Thanks :flower:

maybe 48?
because even if it's a bit too big, you can wear some belt?
there are some HL pants with adjusters at sides though.

HL sizing differs somewhat each season.
mostly when they changed the manufacturers, the sizing more or less might change as well.
for example, S/S 03 (if I remember rightly) ran much smaller than some former collections.

That's the impression I'm getting also... I see some 46 as 32", some as 30"... I guess I'll just go with the waist & hem measurements across and match them up accordingly. Thank you.

Bumping this up a bit - but I'm going to have my size 48 HL pants tailored because although beautifully fitting, the waist is about a size or two too big. Everywhere else, they fit nicely, but I'm also going to have the legs slimmed so that they can "bunch-up" a bit.

back to the point though, a size 48 in HL pants is rather big, and I'm not even that much in shape, I'm just normal-ish I guess....
