Help! My neck is darker then my face!

I feel so embarrassed. I've been trying to figure out a way to lighten my neck to match my face. I don't understand how it became darker then my face. Does anyone else have this problem? Any solutions?

I'm researching some dermatologists...

maybe it's because you put sunscreen on your face and forgot about your neck therefore it got tanned? My sister does that all the time when playing soccer and her neck gets really dark not sure what you can do about it tho...

i think that u should start scrubbing ur neck, i know that when people don t scrub, a certain area would turn dark and pretty often it s the neck. another option is to bleach it but that s very extreme

i think u need to go to a dermatologist.. Iknow a person who had the same problem and she was prescribed an spf cream and lightener + a cream at night.. u should consider that.. and also rough scrubs may worsen the darkness cuz the scrubbing creates tiny tears in the skin that may cause inflammation and further darkening.. My problem has been discolored and uneven skin tones, by blemish marks and brown spots ,a battle that I gave up many years ago. I have breen using the naturalis cleanser and skin blemish products for 2 months now , I am really happy to see the improvement it has on my skin .My uneven skin looks much lighter than it used to be . It makes my skin look brighter and much more smoother.

I am using more sunscreen protection nowadays because of my fair skin ...get burn easily ....

Wow... i have i think the same problem..... my face is lighter than my skin on my BODY not just neck, it is the same in the AUSSIE summer that we have here, my skin on my face is always lighter, it is because my mum from an enlgish backy and my dad is from and african background, there for my pigment is uneven..... and it always will be there is nothing wrong with that

i dont think anyways... and it doesnt show up like a bottle of vinigar and glowing white bottle top...... it blends in most of the time

The back of my neck is very dark too... compared to my face...... because I always sit "unfaced" to the sun with my head down...... and my hair tied up..... So I get a back of neck tan........ Which is terrible......

See the current issue of Elle (Sept 05 I believe with Jennifer Lopez on the cover in a pastel green dress) ... the ask the pharmacist column recommends a natural lightening method, which I believe is organic rose oil or something like that.

Please don't scrub the heck out of your neck, that skin is delicate

Thanks for all the advice! I'm making my appointment. Since I have sensitive skin the lady said it best I visit the derm.

Oh and scrubbing is a bad idea...
