. Neither can act and I don't want them to blow the movie for Henry, the same way Kate Bosworth helped ruin the previous movie.OMG!!! Please do not let it be Olivia Wilde or Jessica Biel, Rachel McAdams would be awesome, but I don't think she will do a comic flick. How about Abbie Cornish she is really talented and she has worked with Zack Snyder.
^I'm not sure Rachel is really above comic movies. She was in Sherlock Holmes after all. And supposedly, she rejected previous offers because of schedule conflicts and not because she wasn't interested. To me, she's the best candidate because she can act, she has the Lois looks and her name carries a certain amount of draw - which could be necessary because Henry is not yet a household name.
I'm not against Abbie though, and she certainly has a good chance since she's worked with Snyder before.

^Excellent point Advo, I just heard that Rachel had a really bad experience on Sherlock Holmes (although she is making a cameo appearance in the new one, on a side note Guy Ritchie is truly worthless as a director, Robert Downey Jr is just doing these movies for the cash) so I was assuming she would be hesitant to do another blockbuster franchise.

It was more than just Bosworth who ruined the last movie. Script, casting, plot! I'm putting trust in the fact that if Snyder and Chris Nolan are on this project it will be of a certain standard. I'm looking forward to seeing how they update the suit, it's interesting that they had him screen test in Christopher Reeves suit. They need to sex it up like they've done with the Spidey suit because frankly Superman has the most naff of the superhero costumes! There's also no point saying so-and-so actress can't act, in my experience from hours in a rehearsal room, you'd be surprised what a good director can get out of an unlikely subject. Watching the Princess Diaries you wouldn't have thought Anne Hathaway would go onto to be a highly respected Oscar nominated actress. Personally I'd quite like to see Keira do it, though depends how they've written Lois.

I would love to see Henry star opposite Michelle Williams or maybe Gemma Arterton, Abbie Cornish, Jessica Chastain, Rebecca Hall, or Hayley Atwell.
Either way, I'm already seeing this movie, because of Henry.

I said she helped ruin the movie. The script was indeed also very weak, but there's no doubt that she was very miscast as well.
With regards to actresses, I thought AH was a good actress even in PDs. Of course, not exactly Oscar material but with Wilde and Biel, they are two actresses whom I don't see much potential in at all. And even if an actress is decent, they can still be miscast. I think AH is a good actress but I also think she's miscast for Selina Kyle and especially, Catwoman. I actually think AH would have made a great Lois Lane.
It was so exciting when the news of them casting a blonde, female lead who was not Lois because Rosamund Pike was one of the candidates and I totally adore her and would kill to see her opposite Henry. Not necessarily as a love interest, because we know Superman has only eyes for Lois but as a villain or someone else. Alas, the news might have been wrong because the three blonde rumoured actresses - Diane Kruger, Rosamund Pike and Alice Eve have all, it seems, booked other jobs.

I kinda laughed when I first saw his EW cover. I mean he looked gorgeous but not what I expected as a "introducing the new Superman" type of cover.
As for the film, I'm certain Lois should appear but I guess we'll wait and see. As long as they erased my memory of Kate Bosworth. She was horribly all wrong and I don't understand how she got the role.
My choice would be Emily Blunt but either way, I support Henry as Superman.

I just really want them to cast actors in this movie that are talented and have some talent, not like Olivia Wild or Jessica Biel. I really want this movie to be good for the sake of Henry Cavill.

I think his cover was great. And it's actually a homage to Christopher Reeve's Superman. But they went a tad overboard with the airbrushing, or Henry has lost a little ***** in his face. The pics of him inside the magazine look more like his usual self.
