Hermès Menswear F/W 2023.24 Paris

Say what you want but I'd buy half of it on the spot.

Looking at this garbage the designers are producing each session, complete fashion atrocities, pathetic, soulless, cold and repetitive collections, I am always waiting for Hermes to give me some clothes to wear, highest qualities and just elegant.

But we do need Haider at Hermes let's be honest...

loooooove Veronique ! a wearable / masculine / cool collection... what do you want more ?

Véronique's collection are stylish and exquisite as always. Nadège (the womenswear side) needs to be replaced though.

I want everything! Except maybe the knitwear. Finally, someone who gets menswear right. A perfect balance between modern silhouettes with functional, classic touches.

That brown leather half zip with the detailing on the chest is just so exquisite. everything is so luxe and covetable and while its nothing new, its also just extremely wearable clothing that looks expensive, and for Hermes, I think thats sufficient.

is there any offcial review somewhere? Cant find it

I basically want everything. It’s not fussy and these are pieces you can wear over and over again. Not trendy, but highly desirable … just the way I like it.

Oh, this is lovely! Classy and wearable, nice color palette and appropriate styling.

This all looks super-expensive, even in the grand scheme super-expensive designer clothes, and that’s what I think Hermes should be. I don’t normally like the idea of clothes that flaunt your wealth, but this is the exception.

^ I'm a sucker for fireman clasp closures, but I kept wondering why a house like Hermes would use such generic-looking ones -- especially when it recurs throughout the collection -- instead of something nicer and more distinctive. It doesn't have to be H-shaped like their tacky signature belt buckles, better if it's not, but it seems like a missed chance for something subtly elevated.

I've got some random pieces from Bally and Les Hommes (i.e., not exactly couture level in price or design) with really nice 'custom' hardware that sets them apart.

That's some seriously impressive MENswear, the boots, shirts, knitwear outwear are all perfect + there's a hint of rock energy done right (the black pleated trousers with the chains)...

Very beautiful. Her work is so much effective in muted colors.
One of the best menswear collection of the season…

That being said, the collection is so perfectly styled that I wonder how those joggers will translate irl. Not the easiest to wear tho.

Those joggers irl ? Inside with Hermès Chypre sandals in shearling (I plead guilty of buying them by the dozen), outside certainly with Loro Piana Open Walks, but by men in their chalets having much more fondues and raclettes than skiing or climbing... It will be like those antiques Juicy Couture joggers but for expensive Swiss resorts patrons, cigars and Audemars-Piguet Tourbillons included.

The leather pants and knee-length coats are exquisite— while the sweaters are hideous. Shame there aren’t any croc pieces thrown in to take it to that most decadence of level. I’ll gladly take a couple armfuls worth of coats and leather pants and I’m set. No need to look elsewhere.
