Hermès Menswear F/W 2025.25 Paris

I'm sure Nichanian will take her last breath at Hermès but I would love to see someone new bringing some fresh air into Hermes' menswear. I guess being rude keeps one going forever (she is a naaaaasty piece of work and multiple model friends of mine told we she will say the WORST things to models during castings).

This is a nice collection, nothing groundbreaking but very luxurious. Like a super expensive Margaret Howell. I wouldn’t mind owning it, I hate all those bags tho.

I love everything, including those bags! As I get older I am choosing to buy things that are less trendy and things that I can wear for a long time to come. Also, the fuss of having to think and match and think and match is something I try to avoid these days. And these clothes here look like they fit the bill, as always!

^ haha, you really don’t like her. You repeat the same posts about her every season lol. She’s demanding, but it’s not like her studio is known for having high turnovers.

I think she is generally stronger for spring/summer season - but many desirable pieces here to work into one’s wardrobe.

at this point the clothes with the over design homework vibe are cringe like the half leather half shearling long outerwear etc like seriously can only image a guy with a mini kelly wearing these things and say its old money style lol

there is no effortless elegance, no breath of emotion, just polished product.

they say they don't do marketing but this is not creativity either

^ It's not about liking her, god forbid I had some of her stuff in my closet  But I don't give a free pass to a**h*l*es because they make luxury clothes :flower: Her despicable attitude towards models has nothing to do with studio turnover though, that's quite a poor equivalence.
i got same info from male models that walked shows for her getting screamed at by her for something silly as arriving with unwashed hair on show day.

and agree 1000 %of Cd´s being nasty to models and the design team dealing with the toxicness in a more subtle way as they are directly employed by the company and the toxic behavior manifests itself in other ways that people justify to themselves to not leave the company as easily.

Prada the company is a good example.

More surprised that a designer actually sits in on the casting process, nowadays.

I don’t doubt models’ experiences can be damning to her inconsiderate attitude. Truth is, there’s no glamour nor even consideration to these casting calls— or more appropriately, cattle calls. It’s not pretty and even mostly dehumanizing at times. But sometimes when a working model, and not a famous one, shares a story with her experience with someone like Gaultier— and it’s full of kindness, generosity, and just common courtesy of how people should treat others IRL, then it’s genuinely great to hear. Or a young designer working with Nick Knight and his team, and Edita— and everybody is not only considerate and polite, but also kind, it really does paints an industry that for all its wealth and supposed refinement, many forgets simple manners, which has them them same as cheapness.

Anyway, same old same old— but in the best way. Solid no-nonsense separates for a customer that comes from the charmed life. If one is not that fortunate and privileged, then I'd imagine this is all boring. Because if money was no object, I’d snatch up all the discreet sumptuous leathers and coats, and maybe that opening doublebreasted suit, all mixing effortlessly with other designer separates in my wardrobe. These are not fashion to peacock that get bored of and discarded after a season.

but allot of the design are not timeless and its peacock at a certain level especially when its over detailed designs and has graphics you can see its a person trying hard to be modern and chic ...and this is from a person that likes and buys hermes in many categories it hard to find things that are not over design even my friend working there that get stuff at fraction of the price when we go out for lunch worn even mixed seasons and not loud its not effortless most items of RTW are not credible as timeless. but a late 2000-2010 idea of what modern sporty/on the go men want to wear its like a mix of jil sander meets hugo boss ideal that is cringe - same level cringe as haider's men in daily live comes to mind.

this is for both womens and mens rtw at hermes is a modernist joke at this point they taking it to far into design for design sake, its too graphic cold and outdated even for a classic house like hermes
