admiting i'm an Hermes label freak, been so far gone that i enjoy wearing their packaging ribbons as a bracelet

Yeah, that's easy, just go to ebay :flower: There's more but that just for example :
I hope you're looking for these kind of belts.

I don't know about hermes belts but for adjusting reversible belts, it's usually just a matter of unlocking the buckle, taking out the leather strap, cutting the buckle end of the strap to the suitable length and stuffing it back into the buckle

hermes belts have stitchings all around the edges so you cant really cut it.. :ninja:

There are quite a few Hermès belts on Ebay... Anyone who knows what to look for in order to avoid a fake belt?

I guess you are right... I will wait until I visit a city which has a Hermès store and order/buy one then. I just can´t decide if I should go for the golden or the silver one...

Both of them are fakes.

Besides, Hermes does not CUT belt. They all come in different sizes, like 70, 75, 80, 85 etc. They do not have a waiting list for belts. They have Gold or Silver hardware, although most of the are shiny, they do have matt hardware. They also have a smaller "H" version for ladies.

^^^ Yup no waiting list for belts. They have several being sold this very moment in the Monaco and Geneva boutiques.

lol, some fakes are so smiliar to the orginals ones. Sorry, but I searched again on ebay and I found few others ( orginals) but they arebit expensive

The above belts look like fakes to me, but what about the below belt?

Does anyone know in what colours the belt is available in and if all of them are reversible? I know that there is a black/brown one, but I have also seen people wanting to sell pink and orange belts.

Online? Well, they are available in all colours usually in stores. One time, I've seen orginal hermes with H belt on ebay. It was black with pretty blue inside. And the best this is it looks like you'd have both, hah.

The originals that you have seen on Ebay- how can you see that it is not a fake?

The Madison Avenue Hermes store will "re-size" or "cut" the belts to fit, but perhaps not all the styles can be re-sized
I bought a reversible belt there several months ago wanting to wear it on my hips and when I got home realized it was too long. They didn't have a smaller size in stock, so they did re-size it for me, although not while I waited. It only took them a few days. I just checked it, and they restitched it so perfectly, I can't even tell where the new stitching is!

Ok, i know they are nice leather etc. I would not spend that amount of money on a belt. The H looks quite simple and you can get a good quality leather belt for much less money. IMO. :innocent:

for those who wish to be discreet i saw a leather h buckle belt- in keeping with the men's bags and the new nylon travel range they brought out- didn't have my size though..

(btw - hermes charging £1K for a hylonj holdhall with leather H detail on strap- makes prada seem absolute bargain basement!)

It's interesting to see some peoples opinions...I find the H almost minimalistic at times....very preppy and country-ish to me for some reason (also hardly see them around)....was at hermes a couple of weeks ago and looked at the belts (the boutique I was at in London is quite small but had a large stock of the belts) and quite like the blue/black reversible one (the shade of blue is just divine)....all the ones I saw were reversible and the SA talked to me about the different metal finishes (ie, smooth, hammered, brushed)....think it might be quite nice to have one to add to outfits when they are quite quite basic (ie today, black highwaisted pants and a black turtleneck)....but am not entirely sure...can anyone tell me the price in GBP?

Can't seem to find the price on the internet Meg...they don't sell belts at the moment from the online store but their silk 'twillys' are delicious

OMG I hallucinated and saw myself when I saw the pics of the belt. You know I am "the Labeladdict" and I want people to know I paid up the wazoooo for it. I loooove it...
