this pretty much sums up my thoughts.

The sweater is nice.. but hermes clothing in general is nothing special in my opinion.

I would love this coat if it were black with orange contrasting. I am assuming its cashmere, and an Hermes cashmere jacket has the same investment level as a Birkin in my book. I actually like that they have kind modernized their mens a little bit, as dull as it is, I think it is an imporvement. Some of the knitwear is quite lovely. However, again the culprit it that it is so expensive. I cant see spending into the thousands for this kind of stuff (with the exception of coats, unfortunately the coats will probably be even higher, near the $5k mark).

definetly understated. i do like the rust color. other than that I'll leave it for you.

and i don't mean to be pretentious. hermes is not a brand where you go out and buy multiple pieces to accomplish a designer look. the house is buoyed by accessories sales; the clothings for rich clients who run in to buy a last minute sweater for their husband, a sturdy pair of weekend pants for the country...it's stuff that needs to be fashionable but in a completely non-trendy way. that's what's remarkable about this stuff (it's a lot more difficult than it seems). no must-haves here (outside of the breacelets, of course). luxury minus the pretense. :flower:
