Hopefully Milagros will have an ed, maybe also Tati?

I still have my Japan issue, and that was almost the best overall issue I've seen in ages. Quite excited about an all-Argentina issue. Knew that Mica would feature, but hopefully there's at least something about Kudacki as well. A location story set in BsAs (obviously San Telmo and La Bocca) , Patagonia and maybe some of the Salta vineries.

At least the location is much more interesting to me than French aristocracy.

Didn't know about this magazine but whoa, looks quite exciting to say the least. Especially the story with Mica. Is it easily available in stores?

Please not San Telmo!.. such a cliché, there's so much to see, even in that same area, just not freakin' Caminito!. This is such a must buy, and hopefully the last kick I needed to book a trip back there.

On the topic of models, this would've been even more exciting if Carla Gebhart was still around.. but like most Argentinian models, a mysterious vanishment from the international scene happened just when her career was getting exciting.. :glare:

I wonder the same as Penny (hi!), I've never seen this in stores.

^Carla still works locally though so if they came to shoot in BA...

omg Ivan de Pineda

This already looks more interesting than the last issue. Would be cool if they had booked Romina Lanaro too.

Hi! And you sort of nailed it (as always). I had many argentinian crushes too and many of them have disappeared... Thinking of my beloved Eugenia Vidal especially. I miss Carla too and even more Vic Willenpart, she never really made it as far as Eugenia (height, perhaps) but was such a face to fall for.

Hahaha, yes, San Telmo! It will photograph beautifully, and it was always teeming with culture (or was it hipster tourists?). Plus the dog poo situation seemed non-existent the last time I've been. And I'll agree that it's such a cliché, but think of it, where else in Argentina will you see a couple doing the salsa in the streets? Lol.

This magazine is actually published in France by a very small agency, so I think US distribution will be limited. Even though it was previously a US travel magazine, you'd probably have to seek it out. As it is, it's rare to spot it in UK shops as well. The local bookstore I frequent had to order it in for me. Must warn you though, it is NOT cheap. The Japan issue set me back over £20, more than double the price of an international Vogue.

tango!.. man on man tango was really something else I gotta say . Hipsters and dog poop sound more like Plaza Serrano, I once skated on one.. with sandals..#neverforget.

Apparently they carry this in 4 stores around here.. the pricing sounds a bit higher in pounds, it's 18 euros/20 dlls, same as Union and I think Cereal.. I buy like 2 magazines a year so I don't mind that much the pricing, as long as the content justifies it and it's the kind of thing you can flip through for years, I'm not sure how much US Vogue costs these days but probably over 3.99 and that's to me an irrational purchase, lots of paper, poor content and it's all old news in a matter of weeks or days, it should be handed out for free lol..

Penny, how to forget that Vidal loveboat (you, yaars, inaya? and me) haha.. she also suddenly vanished .. I wonder if it's badly-structured management or the girls there just happen to know better. I still have a soft spot for them, keeping an eye on Mia Quinn.

Love Private Sun, the lighting is gorgeous but I wish it wasn't 90% Rianne and a tiny bit of background..

Private Sun could be in Spain for all we can see  but I love it. Rianne works so well with Sadli´s aesthetics imo.

^ Spain, Mexico, Southern California, even Texas ... I was thinking that as much as I like Karim, he's never been that big on landscapes, it's always all about the models with great lighting and angles, but I went through his thread just to make sure and realized that Suvi story (the one with her husband) from a couple years ago is one of my favorites and was actually for Holiday, and probably the first one where it's 50% fashion 50% landscape photography.. and his contributions afterwards for T are just as good. In other words, this is a bit of a letdown considering what he's been doing for magazines that pair up travel and style.

Yeah, those were the golden days of the unicorn. Just remembering these brows of hers, that are still haunting my nights and God knows they are usually endless (brows as nights) to the point I ignore whether I'm a night bird or an early bird! Never really knew, though, if her goodbye was due to management or bad luck or whatever else. Only remember that mother agencies from Argentina have troubles with US measurements... (was looking for the yellow one whistling but TFS didn't propose me that one this time )

Gotta say I love tango despite I'm the cheesiest dancer on earth... as for the dog poop thingy, your story made me wonder what the worst is... Skating on a dog crap or on a cigarette still burning (both with sandals, of very course).

Not the biggest fan of her work but do wholeheartedly agree with that statement, she fills in and I like Sadli as a photographer.

re the poop situation: places that are "trendy and fashionable" like Palermo and Recoleta don´t have that problem anymore because people take the time to pick it up (you can see some every now and again but more like "isolated cases"). The problem still persists in regular neighborhoods but turists rarely visit those and locals know to look down :pink:

^^ Uh, CIGARETTES! by far .. unless it was a flammable sandal (lol) it will hardly be a second degree burn so you'll move on emotionally and physically after a few minutes and some bad words. Meanwhile, the other scenario... pray to god there's a bush or something nearby, if not, walk that walk of shame until water/paper/bush comes along, and then deal with the trauma for years.

eta: Koko, I lived in Palermo Soho and it was dog poop day in day out lol! that was years ago though so maybe locals have now mastered that rather humiliating task of feeling it in your hand and putting it in a bag.

Re Vidal, according to someone in her thread, she went to school and had a baby/moved outside of Bas. Not bad, but still a waste for one [admittedly insignificant] field (modeling).

Actually it was flammable but fortunately (or not!) the pain was tough enough to make me get rid of the burning bit of paper and tobacco before my foot becomes a torch!

Agree, hope she feels good with her life and that she went for a fancy name for her kid, but, as you put so well, that's a big waste for our eyes not to see some of the awesome photographs she used to take. And she kind of left an empty field behind after leaving the modeling world - I could be able to find a new face that ticks all my boxes daily but none with that kind of look has knocked on my eyes out of yet.
