It's a perpetual summer on Bondi Beach. One to watch Holly Rose models sun-bleached denims and luscious textures brought up to fashion-speed with slick oversized pearls and fine gold jewellery.

Holly Rose Emery for A.D. by Haryono Setiadi

Holly Rose Emery is on a roll. The 16 year-old Aucklander who has been modelling for just one year (and who we first wrote about last August), cleaned up at last month's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia, walking in 20 shows - putting her at the very top of the list of the week's top showgirls. With Dion Lee and Toni Maticevski lookbooks and the latest cover of Vogue Australia's youth-nosed online zine Miss Vogue also under her belt, Emery is due to head to New York in June to try her luck at the Resort 2014 shows. Repped in Australia by Chic Management and just signed by Chic's New York affiliate Next Models, we hear there is quite some international interest. Here is an exclusive preview of some of her other new Australian work: campaign images for the A.D. diffusion line of up-and-coming Sydney-based Indonesian-Australian designer Haryono Setiadi.

Jakarta-born, Setiadi launched his own label An Ode to Noone in 2011 after working as a design assistant to Sydney-based designers Akira Isogawa and Nicola Finetti. He rebranded the label under his own name at the beginning of the year.

Setiadi's eponymous brand is sold primarily online via modaoperandi.com, Australia's jasu.com and his own e-boutique, while his 18 month-old A.D. diffusion line sells through 15 Australian bricks-and-mortar stockists.

The designer's polished Spring/Summer 2013/2014 main line collection was one of just 21 shows to feature on Style.com's MBFWA edit. Vogue Australia editor Edwina McCann also included it in her Top 10 highlights of the event.

A.D. gives a taste of Setiadi's signature sport luxe and innovative prints at a more accessible price print (A$100-330, compared to A$500-1300), deploying, in this collection, denim, leatherette and 100percent silk.

One of the stars also of last September's New Zealand Fashion Week, apparently we are unlikely to see Emery at this year's event.

If all goes well in New York, Emery - who turns 17 on May 30th and is currently doing her Year 12 studies by correspondence - could then be headed to the Paris haute couture shows in July and the Spring/Summer 2014 show circuit, which kicks off in New York in September.

“We will not be seeing her at New Zealand Fashion Week" said Red 11 Models co-director Amanda Betts, Emery's Auckland-based mother agent.

"This girl is not coming home unless she needs a rest" she added. "This is the fastest-moving [new model] story that we’ve ever had”.
