I think it’s a cultural thing. The Japanese mentality is often to excel and devote to a singular subject.

Clearly it does resonate with a crowd if they are still around.
 
Love this, giving those clean fresh 90s Miyake/Benetton vibes. Hope they'll tap into that for the campaign.

I'm in Russia, there are a lot of fashion trends imported from Japan here, especially among GenZ generation.
You guys should check out Rakuten fashion weeks, it's quite interesting
