House of Done is being built by two French sisters.
Zabo and Nathalie Chabiland began experimenting at an early age, following the evolution of their father’s inventions, from prototype to production, developing a familiarity with a variety of material and processes.
The sisters soon integrated making jewelry into their way of life, among others interests, to live with a small scale, almost portable workshop, that could follow them among Paris, New York and now Berlin.
House of done is all about mutation, growing from the old to the new, out off an organic/urban environment. A mix.
Zabo studied Photography at the International Center of Photography in New York. In the early 90s she began an ongoing project to be called DOODLE TV: videos of unpredicted moments. Zabo grabs those omens, she transforms, assembles and transposes them in a very spontaneous way, in her own realm of reality. Zabo creates jewelry in the same spontaneous way. Her designs do not evolve from drawings but are responses to people, situations and materials. The collection of rings, pendants and amulets are each charged with a past and a story of their own. But far beyond the polarities of gender or ages, the pieces personality often merges with those of the wearers. Like the collection their own story expands.
Nathalie studied history of architecture. Her designs are ergonomic and a will to reach simplicity. She is very interested in how our senses deal with the visual/tactile quality of the materials and also focuses on systems allowing personal modifications and possible interactions.

House of Done is working on jewelry that allow metaphors and metamorphoses. All pieces are made in France. They are available in sterling silver 925, copper plated gold and silver, and bronze.

This series of necklaces (which can turn into brooches) is about obsolescence, how quicker and quicker the future of archiving the present turns into past.
The pieces of broken CD cases are cast in bronze, plated silver or gold, looking like archaeological fragments.
