How many pieces are generally produced for each collection?

Let’s say that there are a few great jackets that come down the runway for a YSL show. How many will be made? Like, will there be 20 made total? 50? More? I’m talking about any piece.

This thread has potential but it's such a broad question. I think it's really going to depend on what type of jacket and probably the response it gets from buyers, wholesalers, etc.

Are we talking embroidered jackets, leather, suede, fur, a trendy seasonal fashion statement? And each brand will be different depending on how many stores preset and if they have wholesale
