How Many Wrinkles Do U Have?

I'm trying to phrase this inoffensively, but why don't you get crows feet? I'm confused! :P
Anyway,I don't have any wrinkles, but I am worried about how I'll age as I am usually mistaken for older than I am. Not that that has anything to do with wrinkles, as it has been happening since I was really really young. But it does make me think well how old will people think I am when I'm 40 or 50 or whatever?

awwh.. i appreciate your sensitivity.. but no worries eh? :P
i'm a brown chicky... caramel coloured really... a MAC NC45 to be exact.
most folks where i come from originally (Trinidad) don't get crow's feet... ever..
mostly those who have Indian heritage or African or a mix with anything like that.

we get other types of wrinkles - under the eyes, on the nose (maybe cuz our noses are too short/flat - :o - haha - i can say that) and on the forehead.. oh and those deeper ones along the mouth... but crow's feet - pretty rare.

my hubs is persian, and he's got crazy crow's feet happening - i luuuuurve them!

about your comment about folks thinking you're older... i found when i was in my teens/twenties, people thought i was older... maybe that's the case? i had a friend 7yrs younger than me, but she was a very wise person, an 'old-soul' so people thought she was older too - the way she carried herself w/ grace too - maybe that applies to you?

Hmm,I had no idea about that! I'm sure you're gorgeous!
I like to think I carry myself with grace, but somehow I doubt that is why I get mistake for older though! :flower:

hiya - thanks!
i needed that gorgeous bit
^_^

keeping on carrying yourself w/ grace

or - if you feel that's not the source of the 'older' feedback
then maybe it could be:
character style (some people seem more mature than others - even in the way the walk/talk/express themselves & body cues - doesn't mean they're 'old' - just more mature - and perhaps appear to be more confident too).
hairstyle (eg. i've got super short hair - sometimes it looks like Halle Berry's old short chunky do - makes me look younger. When my hair is any longer than that - or especially below my ears, i pack on like 8 years).
your signature fashion style (do you dress in classics etc? i think again along the mature look).

i don't know what else it could be, unless it's skin and all that - then the whole H20 thing + moisturizers + really good makeup + good food + supplements... but i'm sure you already know all of this.
;)

i'm thinking of a friend of mine, we're about the same age (32-33) and she passes for 18 (!!!!). i have another friend who's 39 and she passes for 26/27 (!!!). Oh i got a wee bit envious and wondered what was their trick - chalked it up to excellent bloody genes (the lucky buggers!) - and maybe hormones too. They also both drink lots of water, massage their facial skin and have a great sense of humour and laugh often.. could be that too. Aaaah.. the quest for the fountain of youth.
:magic:

OMG you are just too gorgeous!
I do tend to have a conservative look about me. But it's a little ridiculous sometimes!

Im 36, with 4 children, no one believes me when i say i have 4 children. I dont have any wrinkles(Lord knows how) and look very young for my age. I am trying to condition my mind to grown older 'gracefully'. Its hard though with all the anti-wrinkle/botox/cosmetic surgery that is shown left, right and centre

I know im only 20... so my skin is still fresh... just never screw up your face... i never raise my eye brows... i try to avoid stress... mums old trick is tie your hair in a ponytail reduces wrinkle lines.... aslo use evian face mist and oil of olay mosturiser hehe everyone would swear black and blue im 16... those are my family beauty secrets

Does the Evian water in a can really work?
How does the pony tail thing work? You've got me curious!

Please don't believe these old wives tales... neither ponytails, Evian nor moisturizer will prevent wrinkles. Use sunscreen daily (at least a broad-spectrum 15 SPF) and avoid tanning and cigarettes. If you're bad to your body as a whole, your skin will reflect this.

if u have wrinkles and u wear your hair up you do look younger... evian face mist gets keeps you fresh in the summer... and moisturised in winter...

Please don't dispense advice when you don't know what you're talking about. If anyone has any additional concerns, I refer you to the lovely experts at MakeupAlley. Merely putting water on your face won't moisturize it - otherwise why would we need products? We would just spash our faces with it instead.

its not just water... in the spray

water doesnt moisturise your skin simply because your skin is 100% waterproof.

if water was able to penetrate through your skin, then blood would equally be able to just fall out of your skin.

to hydrate your skin you need a substance which can be absorbed by your outer dermis for a short period of time....similar to a sponge sucking up water......but will eventually dry up

acid - not strictly true. water does penetrate the skin through osmosis....

I'm 23 and am usually mistaken for younger than I am...people guess I'm 17/18 but theres one fine "wrinkle" that is showing under bad lighting that bothers me....and I know it's kind of stupid  but I mind nontheless.
It's the one that results from raising ones brows: :innocent:
