how to curl your hair with a straightening iron

you need to buy one of the irons that have curved edges rather than corners. try nicky clarke ones

yeah...If you have a straightener with relatively small plates and yep rounded edges...you should be able to curl your hair around, but it may be a bit difficult and you could burn yourself!
although you're probably better off to get a curling iron if you want to do it regularly

I don't have rounded edges....just a normal straightener but I don't curl it tightly around it (because then it obviously comes out kinky) so i just sort of loosely wrap my hair around the straightener in sort of an irregular way (ie it's not perfectly loosely wrapped, i just sort of fumble about to be honest) and it works fine

i think everyone has their own technique and irons. you just gotta find out what works for you by sifting through the suggestions!

^Hey Tushka...how did you remember! ;)

Indeed I do curl my hair with straighteners. I have GHD's but regular straighteners are fine. I curl my hair around my fingers and then clamp the curl with the straighteners and then heat the curl for about 20 seconds. Then I unclamp the curl and spray some TIGI curling spray over it and run my fingers through it for a bit.....works a treat for me!
