i-D Magazine 2020 : The 40th Anniversary Issue

I am really not fond of McKimm as EIC and even less Nazario as fashion director. I-D is now a very one dimensional magazine with a very narrow minded point of view.

I-D uses to be fun, to capture the essence of youth. Now I feel like it is a magazine for american hypebeasts and to glorify the rap industry.

That’s so weird that UK based youth fashion magazine turned into a loud-hailer of mostly NYC-based rap influenced African Americans. And it all started with Alastair McKimm in the chair of EIC, he is very fashion-oriented Stylist, one of the best of the whole market... Maybe the publisher decided that this niche is empty and they need to fill it.

Eh. I'll wait for the inevitable multi-covers.

I can't believe this used to be the magazine that gave us that stunning cover of Gemma Ward covered in roses. Ugh.

Ok now the second cover feels like a celebration! Glad to see both of them. And idk about chemistry, didn't Arca produce Bjork's last album?

quite surprised to know they`re family
they don`t even look like siblings
strange that there is no Binx, she is friends with Paloma and Sage`s gf
hope she has solo cover

The Elsesser’s don’t deserve an anniversary issue...
lets say that from all the subjects only Bjork deserves the legacy issue cover
i luv Dona Arka, she is talented performer and musician but she deserves to be on this cover only with Bjork

I guess this magazine just proves that not every fashion editor can be editor in chief. Mckimm has always been one of my favourite stylists but i-D hasn't delivered a good issue ever since he took over.
Quite disappointing if anything else.
