I bought I-d magazine first issue under alistair mckimm and it was like you know first real life project realized by paper architect: he tries to put all his random ideas in one building. Mckimm is great stylist but he’s hardly editor-in-chief, it’s the same story than happened to Mel Ottenberg who’ s great stylist and it’s hard to overrate his work with Rihanna because it was absolutely brilliant, but he is not editor-in-chief and interview is such lame magazine after Fabian baron era. Not every stylist could become carine roitfeld form vogue paris era. Not every professional has an eye or his voice to make publication. I see tons of random pseudo-cultural persons poped up in first and this second I-d issue, absolutely unnecessary, and I see lack of fashion, I see this cultural direction priorities fashion.and I see that McClellan doesnt really want to make what he is best at - stylism. There is not much styling in this issue made by him. I know all of us should move forward but I don’t like what I see now.
