I need fur quotes! Please help!

I'm currently researching fur for a project and I'm in desperate need of quotes about fur from designers, celebrities etc. I was wondering if anybody could help me?

I'm sorry if this is not the proper forum to post this question in but I was unsure about which one to choose.

I think this should go on the Shop til you drop forum ... and you can get quotes online ... just go to froogle.com and type the type of fur that you're interested in.

hmmm...?, quotes about fur, thats difficult... i once heared stephane rolland, the designer of scherrer saying something about it, but it was in french and could only understand "i adore fur, i have always worked with it, because it is the ultimate vision of glamour" (for scherrer´s fall-winter 2004-05 haute couture collection).

what an interesting project, i would love to do something like that, although fur is very controversial, one can dismiss its relevance in the fashion history, a few days ago i was reading about the history of the chinchilla fur, and how North America and Europe strugled to bring those animals to produce them, they also mentioned that in the begining on the 20th centuary, it used to take up to three years to capture enaugh matching sables to create one coat, and there for it was reserved exclusively for royalty.

ok, marie ange orlaville, a know french fashion journalist commented on Jean Paul Gaultier´s fall winter 2004-05 couture collection "Gaultier loves fur and he reinvents it each season", Yves Salomon, a fur suplier for that house said "when it comes to fur fashion we offer the more exclusives furs like pekan, but we also work with the more traditional ones like mink and sable, of course".

I just remembered reading in an edition of french elle from a few years ago something about fake vs. real fur and their respective supporters. For example, French actress Catherine Deneuve is a great fan of real fur. I found a quote of hers : "It is real fur. I can promise you I have never worn fake and I never will." (from contactmusic.com) But, on the other hand, I cringed when I heard that for one of her coats 200 minks were killed.
