I went to Sharper Image store so I could be better informed about all of the ipods (especially the nano). The guy at the store was very informed and answered every question I asked with knowledgable answers. He said you have to charge the nano through the computer and that it takes a while. When I was done I made up my mind to get a 20gb. I just wish it came in black So if you have questions I would say to look up online where a apple or sharper image store is near you and go look at them in person and ask many questions! Now I just have to order mine

A new Video Ipod was just released today and comes in White and Black. Darn it, I just ordered my Black Nano. The video one is cool, you can watch Tv shows on your Ipod by downloading the episodes from Itunes, they have Lost and Desperate Housewives

When I first saw a picture of the nano I didn't think it was real, haha. I have to say it is sexy.

It's not being discontinued, it has no problems with the screen (in general). Apple realised a press statement about it here;

The cracking screens affects 0.01% of the sold players, and was due to a maunfacture default in one batch, they are replacing the faulty ones.

For those worrying about the player's durability, I think the following article will help - these guys do everything to the nano. Sitting on it, dropping it from a moving vehicle, even run it over with a car, and throwing it as high as they can in the air and letting it smash the ground.

The scratcing thing makes me smile, because all ipods have scratched so easily, my gen3 one is in tatters now

Yeah there seems to be a consensus bout the scratching. Though I've never had an ipod I'm pretty surprised to hear that all ipods scratch easily!

yeah my mom told me that they were suppose to release a new ipod or something I guess this is it. Wouldn't it be nice to have everything in one gadget? Like cell phone, digi camera, music, movies? lol maybe I'm dreaming I'm sure that would cost a small fortune! I was talking to a guy from Apple and he said the main problems they're having with the nanos is that people put them in their pockets and then the screen cracks easy. He said the main problems were of the screen cracking. I wanted one but I'm happy with my 20gb!

Get a Palm Treo 650. It does all of the above (except for movies) and you can send email, surf the internet, organize your contacts etc. etc.
