hi guys i'm just wanna share my experience being backstage at the MAFW 2005 Tsubi show.
Well i was one of only 3 volunteers allowed backstage to help.
well i got to meet the tsubi guys, their sunglasses designer, their pattern maker, practically most of their staff. I also got to meet michelle janck who they collaborated with for this collection.
I had to help out with the styling of the shoes, converse all-stars that were covered with printed fabrics and i had to white out the lines and some writing from the soles.
I also helped out by dressing the models. I got to dress Miranda Kerr (one of Australia's hottest models). She is soo professional and so nice and sweet.
I took many pics backstage from styling the shoes, fixing and putting on accessories on models, models doing kung fu poses, models waiting in line, models including miranda kerr posing for my camera and someone dressed up ad mugatu from zoolander with his dog with matching hair.
the atmosphere backstage was quite fun and playful with some of the models playing around with the coathangers pretending they were guns and playing kung fu.
overall it was a great experience and it was a pleasure helping out for their show. I got to have some free stuff as well like some tsubi badges and accessories used in the parade e.g. mirrored necklaces.
and Dan form Tsubi personally gave me a ticket to their afterparty. he also gave the other 2 volunteers tickets as well.
I will post some pics once i have uploaded them onto my computer.
