questions... are blazers out of style?

I'm more into the mod style of clothing. Is it too late to jump on this bandwagon?

I'm trying to find a cheap black blazer, any suggestions?

I'm not looking for anything designer or expensive heh.

I've been looking around the second hand stores around Toronto, however I'm so impatient and usually end up leaving the store in tears ha.

Is a plain blazer too much to ask for in this cruel world?

 Sorry.. first I thought you were asking if they were in style, but then it looked like you wanted to buy one. Trying to help here :P

Welcome :flower: What flavor are you looking for? Dressy, casual?

casual. tight fit.

I looked at the blazers urban outfitters had and they dont have any plain black or blue blazers...

WELCOME to tFS geestring :flower:

you could try the little boys section to scour for plain, tighter fit blazers at salvation army or other thrift stores..

heres a link to gap blazers.. http://www.gap.com/browse/category.do?cid=5742 .. caveat emptor however ..try before you buy ..i've never had luck with the fit of gap's blazers but I have an unusual torso, so maybe they'll be fine for you

I don't know if you have an H&M near you but they basically rule the blazer market here in Belgium... half the people in my school have one from there. Plus, they come in tons of different colors

Speaking of blazers, I was interested in purchasing a blazer, something around the price range of $900 not more. Anyways I got out of work and went to Harry Rosen (Men's Designer Store). Anyways because I wasn't dressed too great so I got treated like sh*t. I tried on this D&G blazer, it was nice. Then the SA in snub voice said "Do you always wear Dolce?". Very sarcastic, I took it off and left. Either way it was way above my range however if I loved it that much I would have gotten it.

The funny thing is that one of the manager's at that store knows me because I have bought so much of my clothes there from her. He just didn't know who I am. But I'm going to write a complaint.

Anyways sorry for going off topic just got me so upset. I love the concept of blazers with jeans, with a nice scarf. Depending on your price range, a few weeks ago I saw a nice one from Armani Exchange for only $200, Diesel has some nice ones too.

Well... a blazer is always in style, it's a true classic.

I'd also try the 2ndhand/vintage route, or maybe outlets?

unplugged I just got back from toronto.. I'm looking for cheap blazer, if i could find one at a second hand store i would... does h&m have black mens blazers?

- H&M has a few nice blazers.

- Harry Rosen is overpriced for its work clothes. I can get their items for way cheaper.

- I dunno if you are into sportscoats and the "english dandy" look (I consider myself a dandy), but Sierratradingpost.com has Arnold Brant, Southwick, Hickey Freeman and Corneliani for 30-60% off retail. See told you I can get whatever Rosen sells for cheaper.

- Those mentioned may not be as fashion forward as Costume National or Dior Homme, but when paired with dress pants, they do make a man look very distinguished and classy.

^ Actually, there are SAs who make considerable amounts at some stores... But still, no reason to feel intimidated, I agree...
