Tests from NY.

Our six finalists for the Supreme/V Magazine model search came into town on Monday afternoon, and spent the next two days running all across New York City on castings and shooting with an amazing group of photographers.

On Tuesday morning all six girls came to the agency before heading off to meet with the staff at V Magazine, and then spent the day between Brooklyn and Manhattan testing with Owen Bruce and Jonathan Leder. After a long day of shooting, it was off to Il Bordello for dinner with the finalists, bookers from Supreme and their chaperones. Wednesday the girls broke off into groups of three to shoot with Hugh Lippe and Glynis Arban before catching their respective flights back home.

V Have you always wanted to be a model?
INGE DE JONG Yeah, when I was a kid, I always used to model for the camera. I really liked the camera, but at first, it didn’t really like me. But I kept going for it, and now I'm here.
V Why do you want to be a model?
IDJ I just want to be different. I want to stand out. If I’m chosen, I want to be chosen not just because of how I look, but because of how I act and who I am. I don’t just want to be like all the other models.
V Besides modeling, what else do you want to do in the future?
IDJ I want to start my own company. If I don’t get to be a model, I want to work at a model agency. I want to be my own boss, start my own agency. I just really want to be work with this.
V What is your favorite subject in school?
IDJ Either history or English. Actually, both.
V What do you like to do now for fun?
IDJ I like to play field hockey. I also just did one lesson of kickboxing. I don’t know when I’ll get to do it again, but I really liked it. I like to go shopping with my friends, and hang out. Just regular things.
V Tell us a little bit about your family.
IDJ I have two older sisters. One is seventeen, and she is also modeling. She’s very pretty. She’s going for some tests in Paris. I would be very happy if we ended up doing the same thing. My other sister is 18, and she’s at university. My dad has his own company. Whenever I have any problems, I always know I can go to him. My mom is also really sweet. I love them.
