Well,as a Latvian I can tell,that U guys got it all wrong.As mentioned above Latvian and Lithuanian languages are kinda similar.As similar as German and Dutch.
Gramaticaly Latvian language is one of few,that works just like Latin - U pronounce words exactly as they are written.In Latvian writing it's Ingūna Butāne.Little lines above the letters are called garumzīmes(prolonging signes),which means,that these letters has to be pronounced long.In German the same way works letter h(bahn).So to put it in English - it has to be like
Ingoo-na Butaa-ne.
