Interview Winter 2024 : Lily-Rose Depp by Richard Kern

Celine... Please come get your stylist.. I know that is not Law personality but sometimes creatives should stay BTS to avoid this mess... It looks so cheap to me .. Who shot this ? It can't be LaChapelle
THAT last image with the giant ball and that bbl bubble b*tt I can't
Nobody asked that for Xmas

Getting back to the topic; I really liked the cover, and I love Lily-Rose Depp. But Law Roach’s spread felt raunchy in all the wrong ways, more vulgar than striking. It lacked the sophistication I’d expect. Lily Rose, as always, carries it with her presence alone.

Lily-Rose Depp has that kind of beauty that makes people uncomfortable, and I think that’s the point. In The Idol, she didn’t play into likability or try to soften anything. She leaned all the way into that cold and demanding energy that some people can’t stand because it doesn’t beg for attention, it just takes it. There’s a real power in that, but not everyone knows how to handle it. I get why she doesn’t work for some people, but honestly, I think that says more about them than it does about her.

I think she’s talented but hasn’t had much of a showcase for it yet. Perception will probably shift a bit after Nosferatu.

I agree she’s very beautiful. I hadn’t thought about her in terms of if she’s eager to please or not. I think people may dislike her because people are always eager to dislike a nepo baby right out of the gate. So on this forum, I think there’s a decade worth of her getting Chanel gigs that people don’t think she deserves. Would you consider Lila Moss disliked because she isn’t eager to please? I don’t really know what that all means. I think anyone who chooses to put themselves in the spotlight when they needn’t is perhaps inherently eager to please.
