I want to learn French!

i just bought this french book with english transalations and phonetics but i don't understand the part when it said "it should be pronounced from the nasal....". i hope somebody can help me with this. danke!

Here's 3 things you could do.
1. Find a French girl to talk to.
2. Take a french language class.
3. Go to France and pick it up there.:flower:

Or buy a CD with pronounciation exercises. They exist :)

yeah i'm learning french myself after dropping it at school, I find it more beneficial doing it of my own initiative. I have the miguel thomas cd's and another lot with 2 small handbooks (dordling kingsley (i think thats how its spelt)) and find them both easy to use, its much easier to learn through listening and repeating in regard to languages. French is a very nasal language :ninja:
as MM says, it would be good once u've got a small amount of vocab behind u to find someone french to speak to...whether it be on the internet or if you know someone who already knows the language...good luck with it :flower:

i think there's places that offer french classes... you could also find a tutor
the thing that always sucked/still sucks about french classes is you have to deal with ppl who just don't get it, so the class goes really slow

I want to learn French, too bad i have too find a French girl. :p Maybe she can teach me how to kiss since I've never been kissed.

maybe there're some languages u would like to learn and to speak. okay, tell us which one is ur favorite.
people here are all in different areas and countries, maybe some one could tell u a few simple words or something else about his/her country.
that's not bad~!!aha~

i'd like to learn French, though my english is definitely poor~

I too would like to be fluent in French (although I can manage rough conversations), I would also like to learn German, and some slavic languages.

I'd love to be fluent in French .. and also Hebrew. I am fluent in English, Dutch, German, Zulu, Xhosa and Sotho... but I think that comes from living in a country as diverse as South Africa and I have a passion to leanr how to communicate with everyone in it!

I'd like to be fluent in english and german ^_^ which I'm not (yet).. hopefully I will get closer after finishing both here in high school.

and then I'd love to speak italian.

I want to learn Italian!!
