How discovered:
I was in a cafe studying for final exams with some friends and this lady walked up to me and asked if I wanted to be a model. I thought it was a joke so I didn’t give it any thought until I got scouted again about two years later.

Favorite things:
I love good books. Some of my favorite authors are Dostoyevsky, Heidegger, Nietzsche, and Steinbeck. I’m also really into the outdoors–hiking, snowboarding, fly fishing.

Favorite music, band:
Recently it’s been a lot of Cold War Kids, Otis Redding, Royksöpp, and Lil Wayne.

Favorite movie, tv show:
Wes Anderson and Woody Allen movies.

What would you be doing if you weren’t modeling?
I’d probably be back at school studying philosophy and teaching swim lessons.

What’s something uncool that you love anyway?

Favorite modeling experience so far?
It’s hard to pick my favorite experience. But I had a really crazy shoot last week in Beijing. It was for Arena Homme and it involved an abandoned gun factory and a girl in a giant panda suit. We were laughing so hard it took at least two hours to get the shot.
