Supermodel of the World: São Paulo Day 2

The sun finally came out in São Paulo for this second day of Supermodel of the World. It was an early start to a long day in which the finalists were measured, “Polaroided,” and finally test photographed. There’s a video crew on hand interviewing the girls for a making of Supermodel of the World video. Needless to say the second day of Supermodel of the World has been eventful.

Supermodel of the World Winners

We are proud to announce the winner and six runners-up for the 2009 Ford Models’ Supermodel of the World search. The winner of the Ford Models’ Supermodel of the World 2009 search is Karlina of Latvia (Baltics). Our runners-up in the following order are Charlene of the Philippines, Isabelle of Sweden, Olivia of the US, Maryna of Belarus, Grace of Australia, and finally Bruna of Brazil. Needless to say after five very full days of photo tests, walking lessons, judging, and of course samba it’s been an exhausting process, but not without rewards. Look for these models in next month in Fashion Week Fall 2010!

Ford's New Stamp

Two weeks after the finale, the girl who won a safe spot at Ford NY can already tell if their dreams are becoming reality. At least, they are experiencing model-life right now and for some of them it seems on a good slope already. Swedish sweetie Isabelle Stork is among the lucky ones, watching her book grow day after day: from digital truth (above) to tests able to enhance her potential (check later). Sixteen and 5'10, Isabelle is also the living example of how Ford's eyes can go slightly out of their beaten tracks and that beautiful doesn't mean boring. If she's not as classic as others on board can be, she handles her slightly unsual look with the touch of class we can expect from a Supermodel of the World winner (runner-up but winner nonetheless) and seems to follow another of Ford's recent discoveries (Emma Dumont) on her cute footsteps. And we couldn't not drop a note on how much we like the aesthetic of these digitals: simple yet stylish. Ford's new stamp ?
