Iselin Steiro

I've never seen/heard about this ed either... Thanks for posting.

I remember that ed, but kinda forgot about it. It's very nice.

The Akrans ed is stunning! Iselin has to be one of the most photogenic people I've ever seen... A real Norwegian beauty

I can't help but feel as if it's about time for Iselin to make a little surprise return to modeling. Last year is was that quick run through Paris shows, but I just get a feeling that now would be an exceptionally well-timed moment for her return. Here's hoping! :flower:

Nothing in the world would make me happier, but unfortunately I think that the chances of Iselin returning to full-time modelling are very slim. She just finished her second year of her masters degree in architecture and she has just married her love Anders (doctor, actor and sex columnist in one Norways biggest newspapers (!)). Unfortunately for us, she values other things in life higher than working as a model.

When I look back at her work, tears come to my eyes. Just remember the controversial "State of emergency" by Steven Meisel from Vogue Italia, the incredibly sexy "Nuit Fauve" or "Nuances Denim" by Mario Sorrenti from Vogue Paris.

We still haven't heard anything about Iselin doing any campaigns for FW09/10? Has she booked anything to follow up that amazing Lanvin SS09 campaign?

Since yesterday, I've been looking back at Iselin's career .. She has been absent a while now, so I had almost forgotten all the work she had done. It brought back all the love I had for her in an instant! :)

I took the liberty of trying to gather information about all her editorials. Please let me know of any mistakes or missing editorials .. :flower: I've left out her Norwegian ones by will.

This list is pretty impressive, don't you think? Just imagine Iselin in Teen Vogue in 2004 .. He-he.

Hey, Miss, parts of it was posted in this thread, just do a search for "teen vogue" .. :flower: She looks so young and a bit different in that editorial, it's so strange. B)

Thats an impressive list and quite some work to compile I guess. Thanks :flower:

Yes, it didn't really hit me until the list was finished how strong her editorial record really is. She worked solely with a-list photographers pretty much from day 1 (with a couple of exceptions). Just look at the amount of work she has done with Meisel, Sorrenti and Sims .. She was clearly a muse for all three of them .. And that's not even counting the huge amount of campaigns she did. :flower:

Another interesting fact is how late Meisel discovered her and fell in love with her. Her first work with Meisel was the Dolce & Gabbana FW06/07 campaign, while her first show appearance was for Calvin Klein during SS04. And then her first editorial work with him ended in a Vogue Italia cover for August 2006 shortly after.

^Yes I know what you mean. It's so un-Meisel to work with a girl for the first time a couple of seasons after her break through.

It's a shame she didn't work that much with I&V, think she is perfect for their work. I only recall a Just Cavalli campaign.

Yes, it is a bit strange that she didn't do editorial work with I&V, especially since she was a favourite at Vogue Paris. She didn't do much work with M&M either, just the SS07 Valentino campaign. In addition, there is some dispute on wether the "Hey, Lazy" editorial from POP SS06 with Freja Beha was shot by M&M or Mikael Jansson, so she could have shot with them twice.

'Hey, Lazy' is shot by Jansson :flower: I'm 100% sure.

Thanks for clearing that up, guys.

Regarding Iselin and the FW09/10 campaigns. There's still no news and campaigns are pouring out as we speak!

Which Meisel campaigns are still not out and have Iselin as a candidate?

- Lanvin - Could be a repeat for Iselin. She is a strong candidate.
- Phi - Could be Iselin. An "outsider". Meisel usually casts his favourites for this.
- Belstaff - An "outsider".
- Vera Wang - An "outsider".
- Anna Sui - An "outsider".
- Balenciaga - Very unlikely. Wasn't this supposed to be celebrities?
- Alberta Ferreti - Very unlikely. It's highly doubtful that Iselin would be casted with a bunch of newbies.

I'm sorry, I'm grasping at straws here, but I need my seasons dose of Iselin.

It's not certain he will shoot Vera Wang, because s/s 09 wasn't shot by him.

Unless something changed it's unlikey that Belstaff will advertise this season because they skipped the s/s 09 campaign, presumably because of the current economic climate.

I believe the entire Ferreti cast has already been confirmed, so no Iselin there either.

Anna Sui was shot by Tom Munro last couple of seasons, so he will presumably repeat that again.

Balenciaga is indeed only celebs. But Iselin is a definete Nicolas fav, so who knows?

It would be great if she repeated Lanvin.

Phi is another good possibilty.
