Iselin in Norwegian Elle's 10 year anniversary.
Name: Iselin Steiro
Age: 21
Agency: Team
How did you start to model? I was in London on Christmas shopping with my mum when two modelscouts stopped me on the street. When I came home there was a letter in my mail box from Team. I was 14. The first years I didn't work full-time, but I moved to New York after finishing high school.
Today you are ranged as the fifth most requested model in the world and you have worked for "everyone". How does it feel? I have an enormous competition instinct [can't remember the english word], and the reason I stayed in New York was that I wanted to be the best. Now that I feel that I've made it, it's ok to do something else, so I'm starting my studies this fall.
What kind of advice would you give to other girls who dreams of a career in the model buisness? Be yourself. You'll come a long way with your personality, and don't do anything against your principles.
In the last issue of ELLE Norway you were on the cover and got interviewed, and you were in three fashion editorials and one beautyserie in the magazine. How did it feel? It's very flattering that I can be a part of so much, but when I'm in the media, I'm almost embarrased. I have desperately tried to avoid being a celebrity.
How do you feel about Norwegian ELLE? I like it. I used to always subscribe to ELLE, and now I read it everytime I'm home.
Highlight of your career? Being on the cover of Italian Vogue was not bad. Hehe.
Something you dislike about the industry? All the politic! And that you can never sleep enough, that's not good.
Will you retire now that you're going to study? No, I will take modelling jobs on the side.
Hope you can understand this.
