She looks phenomenal! :clap::clap::clap:
Lets hope this makes big names take notice of her! :crush:

This is amazing!!^ Im sure it will, a Vogue Italy cover always does that and her opening Anna Sui plus this cover makes her his new favorite. Steven Meisel has a lot of power in pushing a model career, he is a taste maker and then everybody follows like sheeps, so Im sure others will start using her more. Lets not forgent that she opened a Saint Laurent show so Hedi likes her and JeanPaul Gaultier likes her as well....she has it for a very good start. I like her look she is not like a clone, she has a very distictive look. I also love that she is from Mexico.

The fringe bang is gonna be the next big thing and it's HER thing too. I love her on the cover.

Good for her. I love her cool edgy style.
And it's nice to see a Mestiza, Latina from Mexico being represented.

Her career will explode after that Vogue Italia cover.:)

She's part Japanese, doesn't look Latina/Mexican at all.

^Latin Americans don't have one particular look. They come in all color and races.

What you meant to say is that she is not Mestiza (European + Amerindian )?
But Bi-racial/Mixed (European + Asian(Japanese)

Which is fine. I can see that.

Lish gave me a Bruna Tenório vibe, but I guess unlike Bruna she's half asian.

^Well that's very interesting but no I meant exactly as I said, she appears east asian, and not Mexican (amerindian/spanish).

Umm there isn't one particular look to Mexicans. Do you care to elaborate what Mexicans look like then? The poster above made a great point. I'm Mexican, so I know firsthand what people of my culture look like.

As I specified she does not appear racially Amerindian/Spanish, as the majority of Mexicans happen to be. Her east-asian side clearly dominates, and she will read as such (asian) to the 99% who will see this cover and not know any better.

she looks asian cause her father is japanese and the slanted eyes gene is dominant (biology 101), it's not crazy that people will assume she's asian . She doesnt look like the stereotypical latina but neither does Aline Weber for example. There's this -wrong- idea that all latin americans are tanned with dark hair and brown eyes but imo it's better to "educate" than to react to seemingly harmless comments, don't you think? :P

I think you can see her latin american heritage to, but especially on the vogue cover, her japanese heritage is quite dominant.
Either way, does it really matter? I thought the ultimate goal of diversity was to not care about where you are from, especially not quibble over terminology, because it shouldn't matter!
I look at her and see a beautiful, talented model, and couldn't care less where she comes from! What matters is her work. I hope for much success in her future!

The cover is sort of grim, but that's what I love about it. I foresee brilliant things in her future.

Whoa:shock: that really is cinematic! She is expressive to say the least! :crush:

What a unique look. She doesn't quite look Japanese, she doesn't quite look Mexican, but she definitely looks unique.
