ok I can see that there are hardly any people here who have ever been to Italy before...all I can say is that it is not true at all that the girls there are sooo beautiful, actually there are just some of them that are like that. Bianca Balti is gorgeous and a true real beauty, and first I thought that she is somewhere from the Balkans, Croatia, Serbia or whatever as the girls there look that way...for me girls from the Balkans are by far the most beautiful in Europe, they are very similar to Brazilian..they are all tall, skinny and true beauties. but I think there are not sooo many well known models as those countries are farely poor and they don't have many of those model competitions...but just look at Marija Vujovic, for instance, she is just gorgeous!!! and she is by far NOT one of the most beautiful women from that region..

sometimes italian girls are less willing to leave their studies/family/friends etc for travelling... the first months of modelling are often hard and they just stay in their countries.
aslo, sometimes they sort of do more tv..

carla bruni, monica bellucci.. old time..

italian top now are: mariacarla boscono, eva riccobono, bianca balti, chiara baschetti.

sveva alviti a few seasons ago did sisley a believe and barbara cassone was on the prada catwalk two seasons ago. i think claudia cerdo did victoria secret show, not this last one but the one before.

plus like for every country there are many other but they are not top.

So logically, there are lots of Italian models such as Isabeli Fontana, Liliane Ferrarezi etc.
