he had a new book out called 'fables: covers by james jean'. it's a collection of the cover drawings he did for fables which now he is not doing them anymore. it looks like an exciting book. it shows the process of how the final cover came to be from rough thumbnails. considering getting the book

I love his rough sketches. The section of his website that features his sketchbooks is amazing.

Love this. So simple yet beautiful and lovely use of colour.
