Japanese Fashion

well, i didn't mean to offend you or anything...

but i just suggested them because most japanese girls look in these magazines for assistance.

coming from a japanese girl.
well if you wanted to look at other styles, you can look at the other japanese magazines that you suggested,

but this is what normal japanese girls wear.

also,

non-no and more give you a better idea of what people wear too. it's more for the people who are leaning towards not being too brand oriented. they have stuff from comme des garcons on there.

JJ is more like for japanese girls who love western clothes (prada, gucci, dior, balenciaga).

just to clear it up.

er, JJ and CanCam are more bling and don't wear street fashion, not to mention any creative Japanese designerwear. i just stumbled on this thread and haven't read any comments but if you're looking for a certain type of fashion, i can reccommend mags to suit your taste - y'know, avantgarde, street'n'edgy, Harajuku girls, die hard CDG/yoji followers, high fashion etc. think you can actually order stuff from amazon.com.jp - i know they sell magazines there and that you can navigate the site in English.
okay, i'm getting sort of groggy so if any of this sounds weird, just ignore.
(I myself have never been into JJs and CanCams!!)

hey, no offense taken - so you're japanese? i guess then it's simply the fact that we have differing tastes in fashion magazines - my crowd is different from yours, sure, but i'm really not sure about your blanket statment; but this is what normal girls wear.

hey, but variety is good thing, no? let's not generalize too much. (coz i sure ain't one of those girls!)

haha yeah.

i'm actually not like that, but all i know are those stupid looking girls that try to copy american celeb's styles... and it looks all out of place.

yeah.

i like to read like marie claire and elle in america... but i have no idea about japanese magazines...

i mean stuff that isn't so mainstream...

would you like to suggest things along the lines of elle and stuff?

I would just love to go visit Japan :woot: I'm planning to go next year when I have more free time.

How would the translation and all that work if I go there (i don't know any Japanese)?

hmm that's pretty tough.

but a lot of japanese people know minimal english because in japan they have classes starting in high school to incorporate english into their curriculum.

so you won't have so much trouble as say if u went to like spain or something.

well all the train stations (in major cities) have english translations below the japanese. so you should be fine traveling.

and there are always people around that are tourists in big cities like tokyo so if u ask them for help it shouldn't be a problem

good luck!

if u have any questions, mail me up.:P
