HERCULES UNIVERSAL | AMERICAN BEAUTY
With enough sizzling summer days ahead to keep us hot under the collar, we find inspiration on the Manhattan skyline to stay cool. Skyscrapers and architectural jawlines collide in a striking series of photographs where we get to meet some of the most stunning models of the season in the streets of our favorite city.
Photography: Nicolas Valois
Models: Jarrod Scott, Adrian Bosch, Harry Goodwins, Aiden Andrews, Malcolm De Ruiter.
Special thanks to Ford Models.
the mustache is what distinguishes him from other models...
fashion.telegraph.co.ukThe opening line of this behind-the-scenes teaser for On The Docks, Jean Paul Gaultier Parfums' new campaign, couldn't be more fitting.
"I prefer to seduce," says Jarrod Scott, the beautiful male model who in the role of sailor, falls under the spell of the equally beautiful siren played by Dutch model Rianne Ten Haken. And seduce they do, in this new addition to the iconic line-up of Jean Paul Gaultier ads.
The full love story between the two and their respective his (Le Male) and hers (Classique) Jean Paul Gaultier Parfums, will be revealed on our televisions in November. Until then, Jean Paul Gaultier Parfums have decided to entice and tease us with a series of behind-the-scenes films like these.
15 years since the fragrance and its accompanying advertising campaign first launched in the UK, nor the storyline or the perfume has changed.
Directed by Johnny Green, On The Docks tells the tale - with a carnal Jean Paul Gaultier edge - of the two lovers' reconciliation - 'where not the sea, nor the land, nor even their differences can keep them apart' says the press release.
After 12 years as a set decorator, British director Johnny Green is an expert in spectacular films. In On The Docks his camera plunges the audience into the bowels of the ship, the bunks and Classique's apartment with virtuoso lighting, 3D effects and soundtrack.
26-year-old beauty Ten Haken talks about what desire means to her in this teaser. "It's very mysterious," she says. "You don't know why you want it, and why you want it so bad. But there's something magical about it. That's why it's so interesting." Why, it's almost as if we could apply those words to this film.
Described by the brand as a new, carefree chapter in Gaultier-style femininity and masculinity, we can't wait to see the final cut.
