Jason Wu F/W 14.15 New York

OMG this fabulous!! Gorgeous, every look so chic. Bravo!!!

I have to say I am very enamored by this collection. While it may not be fully realized in terms of inspiration and creativity, it is sophisticated, elegant and very well made. I love the fact that some of the outfits are completely androgynous - which seems to be a new territory for Wu - and the target group for the collection varies from 20 to 60 year old women. I bet it'll be a commercial success.

Possibly one of his best? I'm really a sucker for big outerwear over elegant day or evening wear. Love the colours.

^ They're also the weakest part of this collection imho.

The colors are absolutely sensational. I love how even the lighter colors are rich and lush. It's a bit overboard on the velvet (reminding me a lot of Ralph Lauren), but there are a lot of sophisticated looks here. I agree with Mr-Dale, I think it's one of his bests.

It doesn't excite me, but it truly is his best work yet. It's well-made, focused, and subtly sophisticated. Looks 28, 33 and 35 - the evening gowns with embroidery simulating feathers - are very exquisite. It's understated beauty at its best.

i found it okay, but kind of dull, his shows are always better with colour

It's a pretty safe collection, tbh. I agree with Trevo about those drop-waist coats being very Alexander Wang. The color palette is gorgeous, which is probably my most favorite thing about it overall. Impeccable gowns (That long sleeved one on Bette with the cutouts!), amazing coats (the outerwear stole the show tbh) and simple, elegant daywear. Overall, it was good. Nothing spectacular.
