Jean François Lepage - Photographer

Below are a few of my favorite Jean-François Lepage editorials and personal work. The photographer has a very unnerving and intimidating way of taking pictures, imo.

Feel free to add any pictures, articles, or just to share your opinion. ^_^

did it not post what i wrote? gah. anyway. nice pics, i really enjoy the second set. i appreciate that the fashion spot allows me to see different artists that i'm normally not exposed to where i currently live. thanks!

And lastly, some personal work.

Love the first and last set. You are right Astrid, there is some unnerving quality about them.

Those are amazing Astrid, the second set - definately sticking in my mind.

those are very beautiful. :woot: thanks for posting, astrid. I especially love the first two sets of pictures. they're stark, but they have a very lyrical quality.

 I prefer photographers who make the models look glamourous, beautiful and confident...

im not the biggest fan . esp of his artwork . a bit picasso influenced and intuitive i suppose. his photograhphy is alien and cold. im a bit on the fence with him. a friend of mine thinks he is just tops.

Thanks for the added paintings, SpaceMiu. :flower:

Lo, thanks for clearing that up. For reason I had assumed he was a she.

Moussemaker, we all have our own tastes. I think glam, typical 'beautiful', and confident are sometimes rather boring. I'm weird like that. ^_^ To each their own.

 i just assumed it was a guy  francois would probably have an e on the end if it was a she  who knows

i dont want to get too off topic but i think the last three paintings space posted
remind me of picasso's still life on a pedestal table

You're right. B)

I like Lepage's "version" better, it's a bit more somber and less lampoonish than Picasso's.

they are very picasso, but sort of goth picasso.

Jean is a man or at least that what it said in nylon.
