I haven't seen many of her films but she always come across as a such a fun and sassy woman. Even though she usually looks so glamorous she never ever comes across as intimidating. She just seems so sweet. I also just love all the clothes she wears especially her hats and those bias cut gowns. I thought she was very funny in Dinner at Eight and Libeled Lady. It is so sad that she died so young.
I'm pretty sure these haven't been posted yet...White dress: unknown photographer; black dress: shot by Hurrell in 1933; and smiling close-up: shot by Hurrell in 1936.
I recently won on Ebay a mint copy of Jean Harlow's Life Story by Louella Parsons put out in magazine form after she passed away.
Its a reissued 1937 magazine tribute to Jean Harlow reprinted by Dell in the early 1960s to accompany the then new movie HARLOW.
Here is a photo of the front:
Its pretty amazing and the whole thing is all Jean
I wish I had a scanner to share some of the contents.
This one just screams diva. She looks devilish and brooding when she just stares at the camera like an enemy but her face completely morphs like a angelic child when she smiles.
