Remember the sexy campaign that Julia Restoin-Roitfeld fronted for Jil by Jil Sander? Exciting news, the company plans to release a new fragrance called Sensual Jil in November and Julia stars in this campaign as well. Created by renowned perfumer Olivier Polge of International Flavors & Fragrances, the scent includes notes of blackberry, orange blossom, patchouli, and vanilla and is described as modern, mysterious, seductive, hypnotic, sensual. Simple yet sophisticated, the flacon is crafted of dark blue glass in the same shape as its sister perfume, Jil, with the logo inscribed in pink. For their campaign, Jil Sander sought to portray a woman who is very feminine and sensual while at the same time moderate and natural; I think they struck just the right vibe in choosing Julia.

Maybe Jil Sander's definition of "sensual" is a morose sense of coldness.

I can see that they were looking to reinforce some of the notes in the fragrance with the use of blue-purple, and perhaps also give a sense of evening, but it does nothing for me.

Do perfume adverts that aim to be sensual need to use warm colours? I wouldn't like to think so, but for me, they haven't hit the mark with their use of colour here.

Her face looks weird.. i don't really like it

I love Julia, but her expression here is really not appealing
