John Krasinski has single-handedly redefined funny as the new hot. As female fans of NBC’s hit show The Office can attest, his charm sort of sneaks up on you — then wallops you over the head. And luckily, smitten chicks will soon be getting lots more of John. The 28-year-old actor is completing his directorial debut, Brief Interviews with Hideous Men, which he also wrote . And he’ll star opposite heavyweights George Clooney and Renée Zellweger in the upcoming flick Leatherheads, in which he plays — now here’s a switch — a football star. Whoever said good guys finish last totally underestimated this dude.
WHAT IS THE HARDEST THING ABOUT BEING AN ACTOR?
“Maintaining your level of confidence. It really asks that you possess a lot of strength on a daily basis or sometimes three or four times a day, depending on how many auditions you have! I think it breeds strong people.”
EVER DONE ANYTHING CRAZY FOR LOVE?
“I love being super-romantic. I once drove 12 hours round-trip, all in one night, just to give a girl a dozen roses on her birthday.”
DESCRIBE THE PERFECT WOMAN.
“Spontaneity is a huge thing for me...and a sense of humor. Not only that you can tell a joke but that you can laugh at yourself and are willing to laugh it off rather than hold grudges.”
WHAT’S THE MOST FEARLESS THING YOU’VE EVER DONE IN YOUR LIFE?
“I moved to Costa Rica when I was 17, before I went to college. Being on your own in a completely new environment is a pretty scary thing to do.”

“‘Anticipate nothing, because it’s always worse in your head.’ We are capable of freaking ourselves out way beyond comprehension, whereas the world is a little more gentle on us than we are on ourselves sometimes.”

i've heard that john and rashida jones have been back together recently...ooh lordy i hope it's true! they're so cute together!
