Past Perfect
Jon Paul draws inspiration from the ’20s and ’30s, and he tailored his oilcloth pants so they would taper at the bottom like knickerbockers. His vintage tie is from a Palm Beach thrift store, while his Pendleton flannel was another vintage score. As for the hat (a Jon Paul staple), he picked that up from a street vendor in Tribeca. He’s got a newsboy thing going on, and we totally dig it.
Mother Knows Best
Jon Paul’s shopping partner in crime? His mom. Still in Florida, she keeps an eye on the local vintage stores for things her son might like. For everything else, there’s always Rugby.
He’s huge on YouTube. With close to 2,000 subscribers and more than 200,000 views, Jon Paul’s YouTube channel is where fans of VMAN’s one-time Model of the Week can get their fill of the 18-year-old bass phenom. Once ranked Florida’s No. 1 bassist for his age bracket, Jon Paul (Ford Men) was trained as a jazz player (his mom is an accomplished jazz vocalist), but he’s dabbled in hardcore punk, metal, and–his current favorite–Top 40 pop hits. Spotted playing local gigs by fellow Floridian members of the band Broadway, Jon Paul toured with them, and then, as part of another act, opened the main stage of New Jersey’s Bamboozle Festival. His sudden ascent to modeling success may have somewhat gotten in the way of his burgeoning music career—Jon Paul was on his way to L.A. to focus full-time on music when he was cast in Alexander Wang’s look book on a New York layover—but for now he seems to be juggling the two harmoniously.

In the course of a day at Ford, models revolve in and out of the office for business, always looking amazing. When someone’s personal style grabs our eye, we snap his or her picture in the office photo booth and present it here, in our “Style Snap” series.
Jon Paul (Ford Men)
Crowd-pleaser
Around the office, few visiting models elicit as sweet a response as Jon Paul. The Florida native is down-to-earth and perpetually smiley—plus, he’s got killer style.
The 18-year-old is also a veritable YouTube celeb (check out our “More Than Models” post to learn about his mad bass skills) whose new band, Basic Vacation, just released a new music video.
