He is one of the top models of the moment, in the line of other bad but cool kids such as Luke Worrall, Ash Stymest, George Barnett, Alex Dunstan or Yuri Pleskun. Like most of them he began being model by accident, he worked with Hedi Slimane, “cool guy, we’re good friends now”, and aside model he has also been on several rock bands.

“I started working as a model two years ago. I was discovered by Models 1 in Shoreditch, in the 1234 Festival”. Who speaks is Josh, a Londoner with a passion for music who began playing guitar at the age of 13 years and singing soon after, “when we started a band in school, just for fun and I had to sing because we had no singer”. We are in the van that makes as dressing room, the stylist Alberto Murtra, are choosing the first look while Xevi Muntané, the photographer, is out in a kind of warehouse preparing the set. It is ten o’clock in the morning and makes an ugly and rainy day, it seems that the photos provided on the outside will not be possible. So Xevi and his team are now inside the warehouse, deciding where to shoot to place the lights.
Just Denim opens a new section on the Pull and Bear website called The last shopping, which shall from time to time, lets say two weeks, what are coming to the stores. You can see here the first delivery. Of course, the casting could not be more accurate, especially Josh, if we consider the close relationship that Pull and Bear has with the music and the model is about to release his first album. You are in a new band now, right? “Yes, Hilda May. We are finishing the recording of our first album”. What happened to Snish? “It was very complicated with Snish because we all had many things to do and did not have much time to devote to the group, so I embarked on this new project. Snish could say that sounded more folk and Hilda May sounds more rock, more progressive”. Among his musical references Josh cited Jeff Buckley, Led Zeppelin and Nirvana, so yes, it’s a rocker boy who has fallen into the modeling world and for now he has not planning to leave. How long? “As long as I still have fun”. He has done campaigns for brands like Burberry and Levi’s, he has been in the best magazines (Numero Homme, Vogue Italia, V Man, Dazed & Confused, iD …) and he took part at the fashion weeks of Milan, Paris and London. Next September he is going to be for the first time at the New York fashion week. Josh Beech is here to stay.
