What is it with you and all these height corrections? Maybe she is 5'11", have you met her in real life? I think she's definitely that tall, never thought of her as anything otherwise. She has never once been listed shorter than that, not even when she first started out.

No I haven't and to be honest, meeting in real life doesn't validate a thing. Plenty of people here have seen these girls in person and still get their heights wrong :wacko:
Her cards have said 5'11" for years, that doesn't for a second mean that she is. Irina K is always listed as either 5'10" or 5'11" and we all know she's neither.

It's an observation and quite a well calculated one at that...

Well they also list her shoe size as 9.5 when there was a little article back when she first started saying her feet were actually size 11 or something.

Yeah not sure why they do that, it's pretty well known she's a size 11, as well as the fact that she is 5'11.

Can I just say, and hopefully this is the end of this conversation, that maybe her showcard is right. Not everything comes down to comparisons. The girl slouches, she's not always chin up, back-straight on the runway or in candids. I'm 6'1 and a half and when I slouch I can get down to 5'10-5'11. Until you measure her yourself, I really don't think you can be the judge of her, and other models height. I don't want this to come off as rude but it's such a topic of conversation for you, and I'm pretty curious. Why not let a girl be the height she is listed as?

I knew you were going to say something like this teaars, sooner or later. I get a strong sense of resistance from you with regards to my comments on models heights, it's almost as if you disagree with me because I'm not saying what it is you would like to hear. I'm always very civil and polite and nothing of what I say is implied to offend you or anyone else in anyway, I'm simply stating what I believe to be true.

I don't want this to come off as rude either but I'm afraid I just don't agree. No, you're absolutely right, slouching and what not can affect a girls height making her appear shorter however I've followed Julia's career closely for going on 4 years now and in doing so, I think I am in a position to 'judge' her height with a significant amount of accuracy.
It is infact, quite easy to determine these girls heights through comparisons, the fact that I haven't met or for that matter, measured Julia myself is the only leverage you have to support the fact that I'm uncertain that she isn't 5'11".
After seeing a certain girl in hundreds, probably thousands of photos and videos, it's only natural that you begin to see a pattern with regards to height, especially if like me, that is something that you're consciously looking at/for out of simple curiosity.
In saying all that, there are quite a few models whose heights I do actually know, some after having met them personally and that provides a pretty solid jump off point in order to make a decent comparison. When I do comment on models heights, I try to give examples and offer up some sort of rhyme or reason as to how I came to that conclusion and I honestly hoped that people would appreciate that.
Remember, for all the models whose heights I've contested there are hundreds that I haven't, it's not about saying they're not that height for the fun of it, it's just about providing my own insight.
