"Everyone loves her," said Spot Magazine's Enrique Rubio, "but she is not a pop singer; she's like Mexican indie rock." As for the clothes, they were Mexican indie chic—dusty pastel satins bent into ballooning skirts and swishy, sexy bows like the Mad Hatter's cravat gone femme. Models wiped imaginary tears from their faces as they made their runway procession. "But they're beautiful dresses," remarked socialite Barbara Coppel, "so what's there to be sad about?"
