RUNAROUND is a narrative short that explores the sexual maturation of Jay (age 15), a promiscuous, small town American girl, and her 2 best friends, Jean-Marie and Kim as they spend the summer pursuing a golden tan and the opposite sex. Interpreting adolescent thought and emotion through a poetic stream of images and sounds, RUNAROUND balances between reality and the abstract; visually investigating the relationship between the world we see and the world Jay sees.

KT Auleta was born and raised in upstate NY. She came to NYC to work at Interview magazine where she began to experiment with fashion photography. Her work is now seen in Vogue, i-D, Another Magazine, Dazed & Confused, Self Service, and V. This is her first film.

'Runaround' was shot with a RED camera over four days in September 2008 in Oswego, NY. Running time: 21 minutes.
