She's in Durban right now, shooting for "No Problem", her first big comedic movie-apparently Sushmita has been teaching her how to drive. Her character has pigtails and bangs, hence the fringe we saw at the IIFA awards. She's also got a Femina cover coming up. The bad news? Kites is very likely to be pushed back to next year, due to the strike earlier this year and all the movies having been shifted around. However the good news is that she will be having multiple films next year.

Oh, another bit of news: Her movie with Bobby Deol, Vaada Raha-I Promise, is coming out in theatres on the 11th of September. It premiered about a week ago at the Norwegian International Film Festival.

In Mani Shankar’s next film, Kangana Ranaut will be seen playing a journalist. This film will have her playing a top journo who works for a famous news channel. The role sounds slightly similar to that of journalist Barkha Dutt. Kangana is very excited, as this will be her first time playing a journalist. Sanjay Dutt and Irrfan Khan will be playing government agents in the untitled film. Kangana will be cutting her hair for a cropped look.

I guess this is one of the films we hadn't really heard about much-we know that she is starting filming on Tannu Weds Mannu soon (how cool is that? Kangana and Madhavan...that's unconventional to say the least) and she also has her film with Amitabh Bachchan. She is going to have a LOT of 2010 releases, especially since Kites has been pushed back to the 14th of January.

And to me, part of her original appeal (what got me so interested in her) was the fact that she looks completely different than Deepika, Asin, Priyanka, Bipasha-any of them. Not just the curly hair, but also the facial structure and her features. I don't believe any of the rumours about her having had plastic surgery, because she has put on weight (and looks better than ever) and that should negate rumours of a boob job. (IIRC, it was for Ek Niranjan and Kites) Granted, she just got injections, and those go away after some time, but she is somebody who does not need all that.

She looked way better on TMBM than she did at the Audio Release. Hopefully, they will have gone down in size by the time she gets around to promoting Kites (release: 14 January 2010).
