I have been meaning to ask.. Does anyone know what the scare, on Karen's left arm, is from???? I noticed it so clearly in that last pic, and also when I saw her with the Citizens band..

^ I have the same scar too. When I was 13 years old I got an injection to prevent tuberculosis and it leaved the scar on the same spot of my arm.
Though I'm not sure if she has the same reason with me..

i thought the scar might be something like that.. but dont know how recent the scar is... as earlier pics of her, i can't see the scar...

also i have this beautiful pic of Karen.. what am i saying all pics of Karen are beautiful.. but i was wondering if anyone knew where it is from??

i would love to have it enlarged and framed for my room..

Muddyjoon, that is from Kevin Aucoin's makeup book. I can't remember the name of it, but it is one of his earlier ones (it's not making faces).

The April issue of W Magazine features a 60 page photo essay on New Orleans shot by Bruce Weber.
We're dying to see the whole spread - but we'll have to make do with this adorable video of Karen Elson swaying to Louisiana jazz in a very vintage living room.
The video's called "Karen's Boogie"; in it, she gracefully dances in the highest, most beautiful heels like only a supermodel can.
If we could only look this cool dancing around our apartment.

Photographer Bruce Weber, along with stylist Karl Templer (who is said to be in talks to join Interview as creative director), shot supermodel Karen Elson and New Orleans' restaurateurs, musicians and otherwise colorful personalities that have rarely been featured in stories about the city. "Obviously, Katrina is and always will be a part of the history and future of New Orleans," said W creative director Dennis Freedman, of the shoot. "The point of the story is to show people who haven't been spotlighted in the media in the past." Among those shot were New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees; legendary former quarterback Archie Manning, father to the NFL's Eli and Peyton; chef Leah Chase, and students at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts. "[Weber] is the photographer who best captures the humanity and personality and the heart and soul of a person," added Freedman. Weber seems to be a fan of Southern souls: the photographer also shot a portfolio of Mississippi for W in 1997.
