Jack White and model/singer Karen Elson have issued a press release saying that they are getting divorced. And they are throwing a party to celebrate.
The couple said in a statement, "We remain dear and trusted friends and co-parents to our wonderful children Scarlett and Henry Lee. We feel so fortunate for the time we have shared and the time we will continue to spend both separately and together watching our children grow. In honor of that time shared, we are throwing a divorce party. An evening together in Nashville to re-affirm our friendship and celebrate the past and future with close friends and family."

I'm not an American so maybe that's why throwing a party celebrating a divorce sounds very weird to me.. Isn't it unusual? Jack and she are somehow unique even when they split up.
I've got nothing to say about their divorce.. Just feel sad about it.

^ Even though there aren't any official pics of their kids she appeared in public and in some eds being pregnant. While conceiving Scarlett (the first child) she shot an ed for US Vogue May 2006 and walked for Marc Jacobs F/W 2006 collection.
