Clavdia, I was gonna start this thread up as well! I know everyone's gonna start saying 'Oh, this is just a poor man's Marc Jacobs' but even if that is so....who cares! I really really love this collection - so wearable and perfect for winter. I think there is that 90's vibe creeping through, but's subtle enough not to put me off.

The clothes are forgettable but the colors, especially in the first few looks, are gorgeous! Really nicely handled.

There are some fun cutesy outfits, but nothing that makes me jump. I love that little two-toned-green dress on Felicity Gilbert in post 4, though.

It is very much the Marc, or in this case, Karen look.
If you can't find enough fabric covered buckles and oversized spencer jackets at your local second hand shop, this is most certainly the place to go for your fix.
Nice color combos.

well said!

admittedly nothing revolutionary, but so what. I like the easy, relaxed feel of this... esp looks 3 & 4 in #1. thanks Clavdia & Susie!

i really liked her but every season she becomes more and more marc jacobs. :(

Agreed. She used to be much more original and a cuter, younger version of Paul Smith. I don't recall that she was ever innovative in cut or construction, but she always styled her looks in a quirky, eccentric, slightly dowdy "British" (even though she's a NZer) fashion, this is just too MJy, but of course much better in the sense of colours, layering and proportion.

There's a bunch of pieces that I like and would WEAR. There are tons of shows I adore but with clothes I could never find an occasion to wear. That black dress in the second post is absolutely lovely :woot: I want it

Paul Smith meets Donna Karan and then takes a visit to Missoni LOL but they colors do really stand out though...Nice collection..

It may not be innovative but it's darn cute! the 2nd-last black dress in post #4

it is cute...i like the color palate and the shapes..i agree it's not very revolutionary, but it's safe and classic and certainly not an ugly collection.

Where can you buy Karen Walker stuff in the UK? and how much on average are her dresses?

I saw it yesterday and it's beautiful in black (and even more beautiful on). Just the perfect little dress...
